Relaxed or Transitioning?
Our Products & Relaxed or Transitioning Hair:
We are often asked if our hair care products are suitable for chemically treated hair.
Although we specialize in afro-textured, type 4 kinky hair, people of all hair types are welcome and encouraged to try our hair care products.
If you have chemically treated hair (relaxer, texturizer, transitioning hair) you may not experience the same results as others with natural hair (as in emphasized curl, coil, or wave pattern). However, our products are professionally designed to help seal and retain moisture in your hair. That is the main objective and can be beneficial no matter the hair type or pattern.
We will offer sample sized packs of our hair products in the near future. You can sign up to be notified about our sample size release date by clicking here.
If you decide to give our products a try, please let us know how they work for you. We have customers with relaxed (or transitioning) hair who have reported enjoying our products.
Transitioning to Natural Hair?
If you are interested in transitioning from a relaxer to natural hair, it is important to understand the current state of your hair. Relaxers and texturizers are permanent chemical treatments. In order to become fully natural, your chemically processed hair must be cut off completely. This is called the transitioning phase. Your transition can happen gradually, by cutting off your relaxed ends over time, or you can "big chop" the chemically treated hair all at once. Whether you opt for a short term transition or a long one, the "new growth" that appears from your scalp is your natural hair.
